What is Consumer Directed Services?

Consumer Directed Services (CDS) is a program fully funded by Mo Health Net insurance better known as Medicaid. This program allow participants to hire a personal care attendant (PCA) of their choice to help with activities of daily living.The PCA may be anyone that you trust to care for you such as a family member, neighbor or friend (excludes spouse or legal guardian).

Here are just a few tasks that are commonly needed by our clients:

  • Personal Care- bathing and personal hygiene

  • Housekeeping- cleaning and laundry

  • Meal preparation

  • Medication

  • Essential Transportation

Am I Eligible?

Must be at least 18 years of age.

  1. Must be eligible for MO HealthNet (Medicaid).

  2. Must meet level of care as set by Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

  3. Must be able to fully direct their own care.

  4. Must have a disability
